Heat Update

With the Met Office red weather warning remaining in place for this unprecedented weather, and both National Rail and South Western Railway stating to ‘only travel if absolutely necessary’, we have taken the decision to close the college on Wednesday 24th June and Thursday 25th June.

This decision hasn't been taken lightly but it has been taken to ensure that everyone stays as safe as possible. The fact that many of our students travel significant distances to college, as well as our ability to ensure continuity of learning online, were the key reasons behind our decision. This stance is in line with other local colleges in the area.

All teachers will be in touch with their classes, via Teams, to clarify arrangements for their learning over the next couple of days. Students will be expected to be available for teachers to contact them during their allocated timetabled lessons.

At present, given the weather warning returns to amber on Friday 26th June, we are expecting to be open as normal. However, we will keep monitoring the situation closely.

Students need to follow instructions from their teachers and make sure they keep up to date with their learning over the next couple of days.
